In terms of return on investments (ROI) comedies tend to yield high percentages since many don't employ high grade special effects, a few success stories returning percentages of 5,000 to 7,000%.
When regarding rewards, the comedy genre is a recipient of a healthy sum, they get nominated the most behind dramas at the Oscar's and at a pretty consistent level.
